All homes bought, sold or rented are required to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC).
EPCs carry ratings measuring your home's energy use and carbon dioxide emissions, together with suggestions on how to reduce them. The ratings measure the energy and carbon emission efficiency of your home using a grade from ‘A’ to ‘G’. An ‘A’ rating is the most efficient, while ‘G’ is the least efficient.
You will be obliged to obtain an EPC when you place your property on the market. We can recommend a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) who can prepare the EPC for you, or you can find one online.
